DESCRIPTION
This simulator allows students to practice key warehouse management processes, such as the receipt, organisation and dispatch of goods, within an immersive and interactive environment. It also includes activities designed to help you understand the main differences between the vehicles used for freight transport, as well as key concepts related with the loading of these vehicles.
OBJECTIVE
Providing practical and reliable training in the comprehensive management of logistics processes, with a view to optimising resources and time in a real-world setting.
ACTIVITIES
- Basics of warehouse organisation: Exploring areas and concepts related with the field of logistics.
- Storage: Application of different storage techniques (FIFO – LIFO), use of appropriate storage areas depending on the type of product received and the constraints of the infrastructure itself.
- Task Scheduling and Monitoring (PMP) of the warehouse: Designing logistics schedules, through which students learn to carry out product reception, restocking and dispatch activities, allocating arrival times for goods and setting priorities based on the nature of the products or the characteristics of the shipments.
- Picking: Training in different picking strategies (by batch, zone and wave) through the completion of various practical exercises.
- Training on the various types of vehicles used for freight transport.
- Loading management: Efficient loading of lorries, taking into account the volumes, weights and delivery order of the requested goods.
