DESCRIPTION
A simulator used to carry out loading and unloading exercises using a magnetic overhead crane and a fork-type overhead crane. During the exercises, the weight and inertia of the loads are simulated, which adds an extra touch of realism to the experience.
* To enhance the realism of the simulator, we recommend using it with additional peripherals (joysticks).
OBJECTIVE
Teaching students how to operate the controls of an overhead crane and to carry out various exercises so that they can apply the knowledge they have acquired in a realworld setting.
ACTIVITIES
- Operations involving magnetic overhead cranes and forklift trucks:
- Operating the control systems, familiarising oneself with the controls and the functions for moving, lifting and positioning the load in safe conditions.
- Collection, lifting and positioning of billets in industrial settings, using appropriate techniques to ensure the stability of the material throughout the operation.
- Loading and unloading billets onto lorries using precise, controlled manoeuvres, in accordance with established
