DESCRIPTION
This simulator provides immersive training on best practices and safety protocols to be followed in chemical laboratories to prevent accidents and guarantee a rapid and effective response in case of emergency.
OBJECTIVE
To teach how to identify, prevent and respond to different risk situations, guaranteeing a safer working environment.
ACTIVITIES
- Identification, review and provision of the PPE necessary to work in a chemical laboratory.
- Protocols for action and first aid in the event of general fires in glasses and on the table through the use of fire extinguishers, watch glass and fire blankets.
- Safe handling of acids and bases:
- Practice in the identification, handling and storage of the products, as well as in the appropriate use of containers and PPE.
- Safety protocols and action to be taken in the event of chemical spills.
- Procedure in case of chemical vapors in the eyes: correct use of emergency washing stations, notification and seeking medical attention.
