DESCRIPTION
An immersive experience that reproduces a workshop where students have to disconnect and remove batteries from different models of electric vehicle. In addition, the simulator includes exercises aimed at showing the importance of adopting the relevant safety measures.
OBJECTIVE
To teach the operation and use of the tools necessary for the handling of an electric car, as well as the process of disconnecting and dismantling the batteries.
ACTIVITIES
- Disconnecting the battery in four different electric vehicle models: Hyundai IONIQ 5, Hyundai KONA, Toyota Prius Third Generation and Renault ZOE.
- Checking and equipping correct PPE.
- Signaling the vehicle.
- Disconnecting the 12V battery.
- Disconnecting the safety relay.
- Discharging the inverters.
- Process of dismantling the battery in two different vehicle models: Renault ZOE and Hyundai KONA.
- Unplugging and removing the battery.
- Checking that there is no voltage.
- Changing the battery module in a Hyundai KONA, applying safe and efficient techniques.
- Demonstration of the effects of an electric shock on the body.
