A simulator for the practical learning of basic and supportive procedures in the field of dentistry. It allows the development of technical, organisational and patient care skills in a realistic virtual environment, reinforcing good clinical practice and safety.
OBJECTIVE
To equip students to perform support roles in dental clinics effectively, safely and professionally.
ACTIVITIES
- Preparation of instruments: Identifying the necessary materials and preparing trays containing the instruments required for each procedure.
- Oral anatomy: Recognition and identification of the structures of the oral cavity, including their function and characteristics..
- Odontogram: Generation of dental charts based on different randomly generated oral conditions.
- Practicing radiographic projection techniques, ensuring patient safety and the correct configuration of the equipment to obtain accurate images.
- Clinical support: Assisting the dentist during procedures such as filling cavities, gaining an understanding of the treatment process and patient care.
- Orthodontic hygiene: Carrying out oral hygiene maintenance for patients undergoing orthodontic treatment, using the appropriate tools and providing basic hygiene guidance.
