DESCRIPTION
Simulator for learning maintenance, repair and design tasks in transformer substations. It allows users to practice safety procedures, earthing, voltage testing and transformer replacement in a safe virtual environment.
OBJECTIVE
Developing the skills required to operate, maintain and design substations effectively, ensuring that technical and safety procedures are correctly followed.
ACTIVITIES
- Maintenance work at a medium-voltage substation:
- Selection and correct fitting of PPE.
- Contact the Control Centre to cut the power supply.
- Earthing of medium-voltage switchgear.
- Access to the transformer.
- Checking the transformer voltage.
- Connection of portable earth electrodes to the transformer.
- Maintenance of the electrical cabinet.
- Reconnecting.
- Tidiness and cleanliness of the substation.
- Removal and replacement of the transformer in a low-voltage switchgear.
- Preparing the work area.
- Interruption and verification of the power cut.
- Work carried out in the transformer room:
- Removal of damaged panels.
- Familiarisation with the components of the transformer.
- Wiring up the new transformer.
- Design of a substation: Identification and installation of medium-voltage components, the transformer and low-voltage components, as well as the infrastructure required for safe operation.
