DESCRIPTION
A training simulator designed to provide knowledge and understanding of how wind turbines work and their main components. It allows you to explore the structure of the equipment on a full-scale model, analyse its internal systems and reinforce learning through interactive and assessment-based activities.
OBJECTIVE
To allow students to identify, understand and analyse the components and systems of a wind turbine, thereby developing a solid technical foundation for application in professional settings.
ACTIVITIES
- An introduction to the different types of wind turbines, with technical information to help you understand their characteristics and how they work.
- An interactive explanation of the components of a wind turbine, helping users to understand its structure and how it works.
- A free exploration of the components that make up a wind turbine:
- Gearbox.
- Yaw orientation system.
- Electrical cabinets.
- Generator.
- Transformer.
- Main shaft or low-speed shaft.
- Hydraulic system.
- Blades.
- Blade bearing.
- A 1:1 scale model, allowing visitors to see the actual dimensions of a wind turbine in operation.
- Exercises in component identification and formative assessment, helping to reinforce and consolidate the knowledge acquired.
