DESCRIPTION
A simulator designed to teach the correct use of woodworking machinery, with which students learn to identify the parts of a miter saw, a table saw and a band saw, as well as the functions of each of these tools.
OBJECTIVE
To teach how to use woodworking machinery effectively and to demonstrate the most appropriate cutting techniques for the desired result.
ACTIVITIES
- Identification of parts and use of a miter saw: Allows for precise and angular cuts in planks and slats by adjusting the angle of the base and the inclination of the head.
- Identification of parts and use of a table saw: Handling and cutting large wooden boards, adjusting the angle and height of the cut with millimeter precision.
- Identification of parts and use of a band saw: Progressive ignition and adjustment and fixing of the machine’s parallel guide for intricate cutting and shaping techniques in wooden slats.
- Master builder: Projects are proposed in which students must plan the cuts and make the necessary assemblies to correctly complete the challenges using the different tools and
machinery available.
