DESCRIPTION

A training simulator designed to develop professional skills in the field of social and healthcare support. Through realistic virtual environments, it allows the development of technical, procedural and interpersonal skills in the holistic care of people.

OBJECTIVE

Training students to provide safe, efficient and person-centred care, while enhancing the quality of care, professional responsibility and ethical commitment.

ACTIVITIES

  • Measurement of vital signs in different clinical cases: Temperature, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, heart rate and respiratory rate, auscultation, blood glucose, spirometry, peripheral pulses, etc.
  • Mobilisation and transfers of bedridden patients or those with reduced mobility, carried out by one or two care assistants in accordance with ergonomic, safety and comfort criteria.
    • Postural changes in bed.
    • Sitting up.
    • Movements towards the headboard.
    • Transfers from bed to chair and from stretcher to stretcher.
  • Prevention, assessment and treatment of pressure ulcers, following standardised clinical protocols. It allows the severity of the wound to be determined and the appropriate treatment to be administered for Grade I, II, III and IV ulcers.
  • Health promotion and psychological support for patients, with a focus on empathy, active listening and psychological support.
    • Cases involving fear, aggression, grief and assertiveness.
    • Case of a patient in the terminal stage of life due to cancer.

Other Simulators

We use virtual reality to train Vocational Education and Training students through immersive experiences.
