DESCRIPTION
A training simulator for pharmaceutical manufacturing, which allows users to practice both small-scale laboratory production and industrial plant manufacturing, covering the entire process of antibiotic development and production.
OBJECTIVE
To facilitate a practical and comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and the correct use of PPE in industrial and laboratory settings.
ACTIVITIES
- PPE equipment for safe access to laboratories and GMP areas, covering entry procedures, the removal of personal belongings, hand washing, staged dressing, and the appropriate selection of equipment in industrial and laboratory environments.
- Manufacture of pharmaceutical products in a laboratory:
- Mixing and compression of active ingredients and excipients for the production of solid tablets.
- Secondary processing: Secondary packaging process in boxes, blister packs or bottles, with traceability measures in place.
- Manufacture of antibiotics in an industrial production plant:
- Weighing and recording of raw materials.
- Carrying out the key stages of the process: synthesis, acylation, hydrolysis, filtration, precipitation, centrifugation and drying of the product.
- Production of the final tablet: Sieving and mixing of excipients, wet granulation and fluidised bed drying, water activity testing, tablet compression, coating in a tablet coater and final blister packing.
