DESCRIPTION
This training simulator accelerates the learning of retail management in sales environments, allowing students to experience the day-to-day running of a shop, develop customer service, organisational and product analysis skills, and practice visual presentation in a highly realistic virtual environment.
OBJECTIVE
Teaching participants how to manage a retail outlet effectively and responsibly, building their skills in organisation, decision-making, business communication and resource optimisation
ACTIVITIES
- Running an organic shop, covering the entire cycle of a trading day:
- Pre-opening preparations: checking, labelling and organising stock.
- Customer service: advice, order processing and handling of issues.
- Cleaning, tidying and final inspection of products and the workplace.
- Warehouse stock management, ensuring product integrity and optimal use of space.
- Taking part in a fish auction: An activity designed to develop analytical skills, gender awareness and decision-making in tender processes.
- An overview of the auction system’s environment and how it works at a fish market.
- Development of bespoke case studies adapted to specific needs and budgets.
- Participation in tenders, taking into account quality, price and value for money.
- Window dressing: Practical guide to strategic window display design as a key sales tool.
