DESCRIPTION
The simulator covers the assembly of computer equipment and associated servers, as well as the structuring of cables in the environment. In addition, it reinforces knowledge of safety issues when handling sensitive devices.
OBJECTIVE
To offer students an environment for testing and trialling telecommunications equipment and tasks without the need for a real practical environment.
ACTIVITIES
- PC assembly: By receiving different orders with different needs and budgets, students can practice installing CPUs, M.2 SSDs, cooling, RAM, power supplies, motherboards, GPUs, storage and operating systems, as well as verifying connections and wiring to ensure proper operation.
- Technical troubleshooting: The objective is to identify and repair different PCs, restoring the equipment to optimal functionality.
- Design of custom rack cabinets according to the needs and budgets of different clients. Students must select the ideal components for the job, such as routers, switches and firewalls, and organize the cabling to ensure an efficient and customized solution.
- Design and structuring of the cabling for one or more offices to guarantee an efficient and optimized work environment. From initial planning to implementation, a cabling infrastructure must be created that meets the specific needs of the business and guarantees a fluid and secure data flow.
