DESCRIPTION
This simulator allows students to practice, in a safe way, with the different tools commonly used in gardening and forestry tasks, to learn the different elements that make up a lifting platform and to internalize the handling of its console. In addition, its realism makes students familiarize themselves with the feeling of vertigo.
OBJECTIVE
To provide students with an initial introduction to the use of potentially dangerous machinery and to provide training in the use of PPE and action protocols.
ACTIVITIES
- Selection, review and provision of the PPE necessary to work safely.
- Familiarization with gasoline and electric tools, and learning their advantages and disadvantages.
- Identification of the external elements of the lifting platform and operation of the control panel.
- Identification of the elements that make up the tools and guided procedure for cold and hot starting.
- Cutting at height with a chainsaw, familiarizing students with the feeling of vertigo.
- Lawn mowing with a brush cutter, with recommendations on cutting angles to minimize movement and avoid damaging the substrate, and with a lawnmower, with recommendations on safety distances.
