DESCRIPTION
A training simulator designed to teach the operation and safety procedures of hydrogen production facilities using electrolysis. It allows the implementation of safety protocols, provides an understanding of how the stack works, and allows users to explore a MW-scale electrolysis plant integrated with renewable energy systems.
OBJECTIVE
Providing students the ability to identify, analyse and operate electrolysis systems safely and efficiently, while developing the necessary technical skills.
ACTIVITIES
- Implementation of safety protocols for the safe handling of gases, including the provision of appropriate PPE, the validation of established protective measures and the implementation of emergency procedures in the event of potential leaks, operational incidents or electrical faults.
- A detailed explanation of how the electrolysis stack works and its operating principles, providing an understanding of the internal processes, its role in hydrogen production and its integration within the overall system.
- Immersive visualisation of a MW-scale electrolysis plant, incorporating a renewable energy production plant, a hydrogen production facility and the auxiliary systems required for its proper operation and monitoring.
