DESCRIPTION
A simulator for training in maintenance and repair work on medium and high-voltage installations, allowing users to practice safety procedures, the use of PPE, discharging installations, technical analysis and the replacement of components in substations and converters.
OBJECTIVE
Training staff in critical procedures for working on medium and high-voltage systems safely and in accordance with regulations, developing technical skills and those related with risk prevention.
ACTIVITIES
- Maintenance at an electrical substation:
- Correct use of personal protective equipment according to the role: site supervisor, discharging operator and local operator.
- Application of golden rules and the discharging process:
- Preparing for the installation and identifying the most common errors during the process.
- Demarcation and signposting of the protected area.
- Setting up and preparing the work area.
- Safe return to the area.
- Maintenance at an electrical substation: Oil sampling and thermographic analysis at a substation.
- Work on a converter:
- Identification of the various components of the converter.
- Replacement of the E1 heating element: Operating the UPS, checking for the absence of voltage and opening circuit breakers to ensure the safe replacement of the heating element.
- Replacing the F39 circuit breaker: Disconnecting, blocking and checking that the switchgear is discharged; opening circuit breakers and checking voltages on the machine.
