DESCRIPTION
This virtual reality simulator offers the opportunity to teach students the safety measures to be taken into account when carrying out maintenance operations on a wind turbine, such as PPE equipment and energy consignment and deconsignment.
OBJECTIVE
To teach the safety elements and procedures when working inside a wind turbine without the need for a real environment that is difficult to transfer to a classroom.
ACTIVITIES
- Explanation, identification and provision of PPE for:
- Work at height.
- Electrical work.
- Hydraulic work.
- Carrying out nine LOTO Procedures to guarantee safety during wind turbine maintenance:
- Disconnection and reactivation of communication with the control center (version 1 and 2) to avoid unwanted actions.
- Power cut and restoration in the medium voltage cells, blocking the high power electricity supply.
- Stopping and starting up the wind turbine using an HMI.
- Wind turbine rotation, and locking and unlocking the Yaw system.
- Locking and unlocking the rotation of the rotor, placing the blades in a feathered position.
- Depressurization and pressurization of the hydraulic system.
- Access to the rotor, avoiding static charge on the blades.
- Locking and unlocking of blades for subsequent maintenance.
