DESCRIPTION

Simulator aimed at training nursing assistants that allows the practice of techniques and procedures that are difficult to carry out in an educational environment, such as the measurement of vital signs or the mobilization and transfer of patients.

OBJECTIVE

To teach, in a realistic way, the procedures and good practices in the work of a nursing assistant.

ACTIVITIES

  • Measuring vital signs:
    • Recording temperature.
    • Blood pressure.
    • Oxygen saturation.
    • Heart and respiratory rate.
  • Mobilization and transfers:
    • Administrative tasks.
    • Incorporation technique.
    • Postural mobilization of bedridden patients.
    • Transferring the patient to or from the stretcher.
  • Pressure sores and ulcers:
    • Prevention.
    • Degrees of ulcers I, II, III and IV.
  • Health promotion and psychological support for the patient.
    • Cases of aggressiveness, grief and assertiveness.
    • Case of a patient in the final stages of life due to neoplasia.
  • Performing shrouding techniques.
